Celery, lemons, salt

@BlobbyMcBlobface salt's not just overwhelmingly y'know, salty?
Amyrakunejo · F
@Jackaloftheazuresand Some people have sensory issues where savory can taste bitter. They tend to also not tolerate spicy food very well, regardless of trying.

@Amyrakunejo I love spicy food. I don't use much salt as it isn't healthy so i tend to be sensitive to the taste of it

@BlobbyMcBlobface Hence why I typically don't order margaritas; they use too much salt.

@Amyrakunejo At our hotel in Greece last week the whole breakfast tasted salty, even the fruit juice, I only had breakfast there once 😕

@BlobbyMcBlobface Were you near the ocean, by any chance?
(and I mean like super close)

@Amyrakunejo Yes, in a seaside resort. The sea actually tasted nicer than the juice 🤣

@BlobbyMcBlobface Salty air from nearby oceans can affect food and drink, and even the senses.
(imagine inhaling 300 mL of saline in an eight-hour period)

@Amyrakunejo I hadn't thought of that, it's quite obvious when you think about it
Amyrakunejo · F
@BlobbyMcBlobface It would be more obvious if the sea salt was actually Capsaicin.
(it would also cause people to have issues with their eyes)

@Amyrakunejo Thankfully its not turmeric, I'd be yellow now 🤭
Amyrakunejo · F
@BlobbyMcBlobface And that would be the least of your worries.
