@BiasForAction they have to have alot of things to keep em happy and healthy not only seeds and pellets (cold pressed) but also veggies and fruits as treats since they contain sugar. I also give em pasta here and there or rice / corn cakes and meal worms ... and ofcourse alot of fresh water because they love to dip the food in it and they also need it for bathing.
To properly digest food and burn fats from seeds they also need to have alot of space to fly around and play
