20 years ago, 2004, did you think the world 2024 would be like what it is now? eg, the technology, cars

In all honesty... No.
I understand that a whole lot can happen in a twenty year span.
But back in 2004, I was too preoccupied with my own personal affairs to even think about what 2024 would be like.
At that time, I was 17 and going through a tumultuous period in my life.
In summary, I was despondent over not being legally able to drive a car, I ended up in classes I didn't want to end up in, I was on the verge of having a falling out with a few friends of mine and after one altercation with a student who insulted me, I was suspended for two days and because of all that, I nearly took my own life when I got home.
This saturday will have marked in my life, 20 years since the day of that altercation, suspension and suicide attempt.(which was a Tuesday back in 2004)
All in all, 2004 was my personal Hell.
