If you see a dime on the sidewalk do you stop and pick it up?

How about a nickle? Are there still pennies in use where you live?

Nah. Somebody needs it more than me.
@DrawntoaDistance

I never thought of that. I'd imagine a kid would, for sure :)

I remember when you could usually find dropped coins around phone booths.

Yup along with the $100 bill I saw in the crack of the sidewalk along Wisconsin Ave in Bethesda Maryland. It was quite dirty and obviously had been there a long time.

One time i picked up $17 in bills but never change
lissah · 36-40, F
@rinkydinkydoink it was at a convenience store. Scattered down the sidewalk.
@lissah

...an unlikely story, missy!

Money is money is money
@pdockal

I agree. Comic books, pop, chocolate bars and a bag of chips were all a dime at one time...

With the Australian equivalent of nickels and dimes,sometimes - though not if they are in a busy area,that makes you look a bit desperate.Dropped coins are often seen near busy roads,where traffic noises drown out the sound of a coin hitting the ground.

Anything under five pence can stay where it is.
