Cologne: A question for Women

( or anybody that has an opinion )

Is cologne something that women respond to?
If you’re a woman do you have a favorite cologne for a man, or a particular type of scent that intrigues you?

Drakkar Noir was my teenager vibe.
My palette has grown since then.
Has yours?

I just realized that I’m all out of cologne.
Which probably shouldn’t surprise me given that I haven’t bought any in 3 years.

But I’ve exhausted my supply and am now wondering if I should re-up the scents of me that I’ve used for 3 years or if I should shop around for something new?

Don’t get me wrong.
Last time I went shopping for cologne I spent just over $500 on 3 different scents.
Those bottles of scents lasted me 3 years and I loved all of them.
I’d seriously consider buying all three again.

I’m just wondering if people have opinions on the matter.?

I do respond positively to pleasant smells. I have sensitive nose. As you can see, my holes point forward and that means I pick up more smells whether that's bad or good.

Jokes aside, I really do have very powerful nose. I can tell there is a gas leak from a good distance. I can smell when there was a boar around or a wet animal and who has been in my house..and if you were spending time with smoker or someone who consumes weed 👀 People think it is bit creepy.

So yes, do wear your cologne and stop smoking

@Miram I should stop smoking. That’s definitely true.

But I tend to operate on a “We’re all going to die.” type of mentality.

As for the rest… what scents do you find most pleasing?

You’re a very beautiful woman and I’m interested in your opinion.

@HikingMan Yes, you should because good people should live for as long as possible, to get more time creating a balance in the world. You are needed.

I smoked for while but somehow didn't really develop the dependency. I know it is tough though. I used to take a medication which was difficult to quit. I almost pew pew myself trying to overcome it.

As much as I hate to admit it, I actually like Hugo ones. Espacially the aquatic version. It attracts my attention very quickly. The rest I love it all. There are none that haven't left me happy/content.

The gulf expensive ones made with musk, I don't like those. They are intense.

@Miram you have no idea how much I love your replies.

I’m not a big fan of the muskier scents.
I like the light earthier scents myself.

I do want to thank you for the personal perspective and comments. I find you to be a lovely and intriguing persona here and I’m so glad you’re on my friends list

Yessss nothing better than a man who smells good 😊
HikingMan · 51-55, M
@LeGrotesque thank you for that.
So like a mix of pineal and bleach would be good?
That’s kinda what my apartment smells like…
LeGrotesque · 41-45, F
@HikingMan try something with notes of citrus, leather, sandalwood, or grass

Nice reply. Exactly what I was hoping for in a reply.

I thank you for the specifics

I do like cologne on a man but it must not be overpowering. I have a very sensitive nose and I can usually isolate what makes up different aftershaves. I'm also very much with Miram on smoking. I can smell both tobacco and weed, it's not great. The same applies to vapes.

@Tastyfrzz I’ll look it up? Never heard of it.
Available in the U.S. ?
Is it under $200 a bottle?

Long term investments need to be made wisely where I come from.

I don't care for strong colognes. I prefer a subtle scent and something with a musk or woodsy note. Or even just aftershave. So sexy and appealing when it's subtle enough you just want to inhale more.
