How’s your energy been lately? I hope life’s been kind to you.

@mindstruggle It's been low and I've been stress-sick these past few days. I'm getting better though.

Your turn!

Tell me about your father. Both our fathers have passed but idk very much about yours. What was he like? Was he a good person?
@CountScrofula
Aw I’m sorry to hear that, I hope the stress eases soon. Take it slow, okay?

Phew! I'll try to keep this light lol
My dad was a mix of gentle and stubborn. He had his flaws, but his heart was solid one of those people you appreciate more the older you get.

I didn’t really have the kind of childhood most people talk about. He was paralyzed for ten years, since I was 15, so a lot of my teenage years were spent taking care of him while my mom worked hard to keep us comfortable.

He was a funny guy though, super strict, but with this stand up comedian energy during family gatherings, cracking everyone up but in his wheelchair lol. He was religious, but also had really strong political views. Always full of advice about life, and he wanted me to live fully.

I think about that a lot now.

@mindstruggle Sounds like a heck of a guy. I can see a lot of his good qualities in you.

@CountScrofula @mindstruggle Bless you both.
@CountScrofula
That’s really sweet of you to say, Davy. I see bits of him in how I handle things especially the stubborn parts haha.
You know, I still remember when he was deteriorating. He started losing his memory and didn’t recognize me anymore.
One time while I was feeding him, he was bragging about how excited he was to celebrate his daughter’s (me) birthday.

He passed away right after my birthday. It’s something that’s always stayed with me.
@WillaKissing
Thank you.

@mindstruggle 🤗 I'm glad you have some good memories because that must have been so hard.
