I think it depends on the relationship they have. Some couples build up a co-dependency in which they hate to be apart. (Which btw can be very mentally unhealthy)
This seeing each other every single day should change as the relationship moves forward, especially if it leads to marriage. Usually, there is college, then full time jobs, and other responsibilities that will keep you apart and give you time away from each other.
You'll just have to see how it plays out.
