I have questions...

What's good questions too ask when looking at an apartment/house?

We went to look at one yesterday, and even tho I know a lot, there was an older man there that kept asking questions that I never would've thought about asking 😂

So help me out..

We still don't know if we're moving or buying our apartment, but I'm keeping my options open for now..

it seems more like you need questions. lots of them I expect you'd do better to research on public info sites and some depend greatly on the area where you'd be renting. the only things that really come to mind for me is well or city water and sewer or septic system. if it's a house what appliances will be coming along - washer, dryer (sometimes), fridge (usually), stove (almost always) heat/air systems, who's handling the lawn care (almost all of these only apply to a house, I suppose)

Are there any maintenance fees?
Why are the owners moving?

Oh and travel through the neighborhood at different times of the week and day

Might discover you have a teenager learning to play the drums next door

Ask on reddit, for some reason the reddit community has a crazy amount of knowledge about stuff like this.

@Cassieeee You can just log in with google to post a question, it's not personal like on SW. (=

If you are thinking of buying you also want to know how much they have in their building fund for things like replacing the roof. Otherwise you can get hit for a hefty special assessment fee when the time comes.

Service Charge can be a clincher - you may have to pay out $ 100's and 100's each MONTH, for something as simple as get'n a door newly painted
