Canadian pride, American pride...

national pride in general. A lot of people say you should have it, but a lot of people say it's a bad thing.

It’s complicated. When pride in oneself is about self-esteem it’s a positive thing, especially something you’ve been made to feel ashamed about. It’s a negative thing when it’s about feeling superior to others.
