Someone on the other site mentioned "French toast". Now I have to make some tonight. What did you hear and just have to do recently? .

Sweet bread last night. Not sure what they are actually called, but little fried pastries stuffed with nuts. One of the German cooks I watch sometimes was making them and I couldn't resist making my own.
@Trekker Sounds interesting. What kind of nuts? Fried in oil?

@PoetryNEmotion yes, I use whatever I have available. Last night I had almond flour and sesame seeds so used those mixed with coconut and brown sugar as the stuffing. Sugar and flour for the pastry, stuffed, then fried in grape seed oil at medium low heat.

Not too sweet, just enough. It could use butter - clarified butter works nice, just extra work.
