I do believe a man named Jesus existed historically during the first century, as do many scholars and historians. But do I believe he was the son God, born of a virgin, performed miracles, was resurrected, etc? As a logical person, no, I don’t. But just because I don’t believe in that doesn’t mean I don’t believe in the existence of a God and believing in Jesus (in one sense or another) is not synonymous with not believing in God.
