I’m just curious, has owning a gun ever actually protected you or is more of just a peace of mind
Just like knowing you have a gun in your house if you need it, it’s there?

If you really gave a damn about other people dying .. you'd be after ending legal sale of tobacco products.

Or maybe ending abortion .. which takes over 43 times as many lives each and every year.

Do you think all of the people with illegal guns, estimated to be 10's of millions, are going to line up to turn them if you confiscate legal ones? The answer is no .. and the rest of us would be left defenseless. No thanks.
