Yes. My grandmother did. She used to go the gravesite with me as a child, and we'd visit the graves of her parents and an uncle and aunt of mine who died before her. She did that for a whole decade. At the end she got a carriage drawn by horses. Everything. Even a flag bearer from the resistance groups was present.The row of mourners going on foot from the church onwards was so long that center of town was blocked for a full hour.
