@octoberthesixth Not hard, just not very good at retaining my interest. It spends a long amount of time on one particular character before moving on to the next, so the story feels loosely-connected. You kind of forget about one of the brothers after a while because it can go several hundred pages without even mentioning them.

@TinyViolins yeah that's usually the case with russian literature. but I still deem it enjoyable.
