A New Low for the United States

The 'great talks" that were supposed to take place between Trump and Zelenskyy (who Trump said he respected) turned into a shouting match with the World's biggest bully asshole troll.

Total stunt in front of cameras to try to strong-arm Zelenskyy into a deal that gave him no guarantee of future securities in exchange for Ukraine's mineral wealth. Zelenskyy was trying to express his concern over past agreements' terms not being met and how that could be the case again, meaning they would have given up their wealth for nothing.

Trump and Putin do not care whether that wealth is gained by America or Russia because they would share it indirectly.

All Zelenskyy was doing was trying to negotiate in a calm, professional manner. Vance and Trump wouldn't even listen to him without demanding he thank them for what past administrations have done for Ukraine. Then they changed the subject completely and got very loud because they were disappointed that Zelenskyy was not easily pressured into a bad deal where Ukraine is the only one to make any real and lasting compromises with no guarantee of prisoners returned or backing if Russia starts it all up again.

It's clear the two who were yelling had lost control of their plan. And it's clear Zelenskyy and Ukraine cannot count America as an ally under it's current regime.

@seaglass I didn't expect it to happen on camera. Yes it is a US-Russian alliance.

How much financial support has the US given Ukraine?
Western allies provide Ukraine with a range of financial support, spanning humanitarian and development aid, military support as well as other financial allocations.

The assistance is designed to help prop up Ukraine's economy and give it the military power it needs to withstand Russia's invasion.

According to US federal government sources, Congress has passed five so-called 'supplemental appropriation acts' since the 2022 invasion, allocating $174.2 billion in funds for Ukraine.

Another US government tracker - which compiles data from over 20 oversight entities from across the government - puts the headline sum slightly higher at $182.8 billion. This is because the tracker also includes smaller donations made by other government agencies, such as the U.S. Agency for Global. Media (USAGM) or the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Of this, $182.8 billion pot, only $83.4 billion has been disbursed, with the remaining $99,4 billion either not yet committed or not yet approved for payment.

Other estimates provided by the Berlin-based Kiel institute for the World Economy put the headline figure of total US assistance at 114.15 billion (119.76 billion).

This is because of the Kiel Institute's methodology, which only considers support directly given to Ukraine. It excludes things like money used to replenish US weapon stocks following donations to Kyiv, or funds spent to help neighbouring countries welcome Ukrainian refugees.

Fact check, this is the true amount of money US has spent on Ukraine, roughly have what Trump stated. The ususal 2x hyperbole rule for Trump

@JimboSaturn Actually less because, that is the amount ALLOCATED. Not given. Trump could still not give some of that.

Also that's a 2022 figure. Not a 2014 figure.
