'Old age' recorded as cause of death on the Queen's death certificate

I did not know this could be listed as a cause of death, not in the modern day. Medically speaking, old age doesn't cause death, but complications arising from getting older do. Interesting!

Yeah I'm guessing they're leaving it as old age due to privacy reasons or whatever. As you said, old age doesn't cause death. It just makes one more susceptible to things going wrong in their body.

If you look at her last photo, you can see that her hands look really bruised and dark.

I would think she died of heart failure or a stroke 🤷🏼‍♀️

@SW-User Yeah both seem plausible

I was thinking the same thing. Old age is just not a cause of death. Something has to fail.

@Whodunnit in German it was translated as physical weakness caused by old age
It was listed on my mothers death certificate too.
Old age and frailty.
Quite common.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales May I ask when your mother died? Nowadays it's discouraged since it isn't 'true', as such.
@SW-User only three years ago.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales Sorry for your loss.

It was Liz Truss. Convenient meeting prior to her death. Hmm hmm

It was Charles.
Pass it on.

@HijabaDabbaDoo He needed to scratch that itch again, it had been so long since killing his wife
