What were your most tearful and poignant moments of the funeral of HRH Queen Elizabeth II?

Most tearful moment: When her royal bagpiper walked away from the church 😔🤍

Most poignant moment: No surprise there…I was moved by the very elegant bouquet of flowers that adorned the coffin of the most powerful and loved ruler in the world. 💐

At King Charles’s request, the wreath on top of the Queen’s coffin contains flowers and foliage from the royal properties of Buckingham Palace and Clarence House, in London, and Highgrove House in Gloucestershire. Also at the King’s request, the wreath was sustainable, and affixed in a nest of English moss and oak branches.
The wreath contains myrtle, the ancient symbol of a happy marriage, cut from a plant that was grown from a sprig of myrtle in the Queen’s wedding bouquet in 1947. It also contains rosemary as a symbol of remembrance and English oak, a national symbol of strength, in a nod to the Queen’s constancy and steadfast duty. Other foliage includes pelargoniums, garden roses, autumnal hydrangea, sedum, dahlias, and scabious.

It was far from perfect….or was it? 🫶🏼💐

May The Queen’s soul rest in heavenly peace 🙏🏼💝🥀🤍💐 Amen 🙏🏼

I didn't watch it (working) but she was quite something.
She was everything you can expect from a monarch, a classy woman, a devout Christian, a ruler & powerful world leader. I hope you’re able to watch the repeat telecast, Fun 🤗💜@fun4us2b

@Vivaci I will, thank you. It will be interesting to see if Charles is accepted based on his past. It might have been you that mentioned here that he was early in activism around climate change, so there's that....
@fun4us2b Good…I’ll look forward to seeing your comments on the funeral. 🤗

Oh yes…it’s going to be very easy for him if he keeps following her footsteps. She’s already laid a solid foundation 👸🏻

@Vivaci i was interested to read that many "commoners" were invited - of course I have no frame of reference for how "true" that news is, based on skeptical environment we're in, but seems pretty OK to me....nice if anything. People that have done good service for others etc.
@fun4us2b It’s a good example of how cordial, respectful and well behaved cultured and dignified families should behave.

Look at trump and how he disgracefully attended world summits, or exited the WH…. 😾👎

Similarly Biden or Obama are so polished and well-behaved. …as world leaders should be.

@Vivaci Agreed 💯 common decency should be the baseline...and then we go on from there to see who's the best suited to lead...
@fun4us2b yes…you’re right! Good upbringing matters….not just money. Usually people with new money behave arrogantly and show off…have you noticed that? 😄

@Vivaci Yes, when it comes too easily people become caricatures of themselves... but I like to think they would have been jerks even if they didn't make a lot of money....
