Why shouldn't Ukraine be allowed in Nato?

Is Nato afraid of war with Russia? Wouldn't Nato be a major deterrent to Russians having a war? 😳 why is everyone making Ukraine fight alone?.. if a man was beating a lil boy in the park would you hand the boy a bat instead of fighting the man off yourself?? Why is everyone so full of shit? Putin should have been taken down ages ago for all the crimes and murders he committed in his own country against his own people and political rivals long before these wars.

The truth is that Ukraine is just not important enough, to the US in particular end even to Europe, that war with Russia would be risked. The US is increasingly on an America first agenda and Europe lacks the strength to go head to head with Russia alone. In fact I have little confidence that article 5 would be applied in practice for many of NATO's members. I'd be pretty surprised if anything less than an attack on American assets or American soil would invoke an American military response. I think they'd let Putin take more than just Ukraine.

It's a sad indictment of the world that we live in and it makes somewhat of a mockery of the sacrifices of the second world war.
