Fox News Poll: Higher prices affecting summer travel plans

Fox News

Over half say they’re not going away on vacation.

Of the 55% who are not going away, 73% don’t have enough money to do so, while 15% don’t have the time

That's the Real Bidenomics.

US airlines forecast record 2024 summer travel, up 6.3% over last year

2024 Travel Volume will be Second Busiest on Record
Carla · 61-69, F
One third of americans, on average, travel for vacation one to three times per year.
Of those polled, it's highly likely they couldn't afford to go in 2017 either.
My area, a tourist destination, is booked, as always, through the summer.
There is also reporting that more are traveling out of country than usual.

Fox news. Yeah...that 'splains it
@Carla Your problem is that the US Bureau of Labor Statistics CPI explains it rather clearly. Everyone was better off under Trump except the tax happy politicians, the military industrial complex, and foreign oligarchs laundering "foreign aid."

Quick, Carla...gaslight the leftist media's controlled opposition network, Fox News, and come up with a catchy leftist waddabout re: 2017 while providing no data to back it up. Everyone knows they were better off, except perhaps, a handful brainwashed fools calling Trump supporters "cultists."

TexChik · F
@Carla so says the lib. Its easy to say everything in your area is booked because you cant prove it . All the destination theme parks around here are not saying that .
The airline industry forecasts record travel summer 2024. Likewise service stations:
According to GasBuddy’s Summer Travel Survey, 76% of Americans plan to make a road trip sometime between Memorial Day and Labor Day. This is up 18% from 2023.

The average traveler plans to make two road trips, with 49% expected to drive longer than five hours to reach their destination.
@Dino11, how did you get it so WRONG???

Oh, wait, Now I see how you got duped:
Over half say they’re not going away on vacation
How does that compare to previous years?

No comparative data to other years provided, and we don't know the quality of the polling either. Face it, dude, you got fooled!
@ElwoodBlues When FAUX News adds the disclaimer “In our very unscientific poll…” they ain’t a kiddin’!

You need a different source. Not one that has a $787 million judgment against them for lying that has admitted lying in court and has admitted that they are not a news source, but an "entertainment" company for old white men.
Dino11 · M
@windinhishair Most watched, rated #1 for a reason, not in Biden's hip pocket.
You should get in the real world. But you already knew that.
windinhishair · 70-79, M
@Dino11 I'm not surprised if it is the most watched. Given the low level of education and intelligence for the average Fox viewer, and the focus on fear and hatred, it would be surprising if the low-IQ group watched anything else. Except maybe cartoons.
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@Dino11 yeah, i mean no other media company has ever... EVER been sued and had a judgement against them. that's never happened to any other company except fox news... right?

Wait, I thought the Unemployment rate was at 4%, and 15 million Jobs have been created over the last 3 years, not to mention that I just got back from Cancun.
Patriot96 · 56-60, C
@windinhishair try again sparky. People have dropped out of work force, not counted in unemployed
windinhishair · 70-79, M
@Patriot96 Here you go, Sparky. Here are the actual unemployment numbers, calculated the same way so they can be directly compared.

https://www.bls.gov/charts/employment-situation/civilian-unemployment-rate.htm

Lowest unemployment rate under Trump: 3.5% September 2019 and February 2020
Lowest unemployment rate under Biden 3.4% January 2023 and April 2023

Highest unemployment rate under Trump 13.2% May 2020
Highest unemployment rate under Biden 6.2% February 2021

27 consecutive months under 4% during the Biden Administration
13 consecutive months under 4% during the Trump Administration

Trump is the only post-WWII president to lose jobs
Biden restored all the jobs Trump lost and has added more jobs in every month in office than Trump did in his four failed years.

Any way you look at it, unemployment has been much better under Biden than during Trump.
@windinhishair Filled up our Silverado’s gas tank an hour ago. Current price for regular unleaded with 10% ethanol is $ 2.49-9/10 here!

Another issue is people cutting out one meal per day because of inflation
Everything is a lot more expensive.
