If you went to college on a student loan and paid it back how do you feel about Biden forgiving all this student debt of current students.

It is just buying votes using tax payer dollars.
Todays students are more deserving of having their debt forgiven.
The whole government load system is responsible for running up the cost of college.

I'm pissed at this. I paid back my student loans, it's called life. You have to borrow for something to improve your life situation? Fine, that's part of modern society. But you better effing have to pay it back, that's called responsibility.

@Howudoin The problem is the size of the bet on the table - its a HUGE and GROWING chunk.. a much larger LUMP than it ought to be.. and it is WAY bigger than you had to borrow for and way bigger than you had to pay back.. It's not the principle it's the size of the LUMP that is the problem.... and your position is ONLY about principle not math.. I DON"T CARE about the freaking growing problem is a let them eat cake attitude.. the kind that caused revolutions.. so be smarter and start having some empathy for the basic cause of the problem and its NOT the kids.. its the endemic low taxation you have in your nation that is the problem...

@pdqsailor1 it's actually not most of the kids, it's the school's continuing to charge more and more when many of them have massive endowments they are just sitting on and not using to improve education.

The basic cause is not low taxation you supposed student of history, that's why we broke from Mr. George III. Get your head right on what high taxation eventually leads to.
pdqsailor1 · 61-69, M
@Howudoin You broke from King George the dimwitted not because he taxed you but because you got nothing for your money..

Canada has high taxation.. on everything.. we also have universal health care, a social safety net that was until the last four years of inflation functional, and affordable university tuition... and VERY few billionaires.. its rather difficult to become a billionaire in Canada but we do quite well without having very many of them.. and frankly the ones we have - we should not have because they are very poor quality citizens..

GET with the program... or stop complaining when what you have that is messed up needs fixing because it stops working..

@pdqsailor1 I'm actually not complaining. Well, about the socialist movement I'm not happy and may complain from time to time. I think all the snowflakes need to experience reality, and have to work to make their dreams also reality.

@Howudoin Everything ... in moderation...

@Howudoin We have socialism in the U.S. - for billionaires and corporations. They get huge bail-outs, subsides, and tax breaks.

Regular people get unregulated capitalism.
pdqsailor1 · 61-69, M
@badminton Regular people are the VICTIMS of unregulated capitalism..Its a pretty much fixed game - the billionaires, banks and corporations control access to capital markets.. entrepreneurs ... have a hard time of it..
