Gosh, I hope not. Governments are fallible. In the U.S., think back to the launch of healthcare.gov or federal- and state-level breaches involving sensitive data in more than 300 million cases in the last 10 years. With CBDCs, the whole economic system could be brought to the brink by bad updates or data leaks of the centralized ledger.
I think too that our economy would then be a keystroke away from becoming part of a WORLD CENTRAL BANK.
