His people rushed to contain the fallout (no pun in light of the mention of nuclear weapons in this crisis) from his unscripted remarks. It certainly did not go unnoticed and it is uncertain where that puts the administration on foreign policy and perhaps its credibility.
His people and his party need to really look at him. Gaffes and mistakes like this especially being he is in Poland during the conflict, supposedly trying to effect positive things regarding the conflict can be very much misconstrued and possibly exacerbate the situation.
