Biden says we have to take the job that’s offered or lose unemployment benefits! (Link)

I’ve been looking for jobs.
When I try to apply for weekly benefits he says I have to start applying to a couple different jobs to receive benefits or they’re going to disqualify us and possibly pay the money back.
What do you guys think about this? I’m stressed! 😫😩😳😳😱😬😬

Maybe this is a bad time for Biden to be pushing for trillion dollar “infrastructure” that does little to actual infrastructure.

That's the way it has always been. And you don't have to accept a job that pays less than your previous job.

@ElizabethBabe1994 I'm sure it varies everywhere but how would they know you turned down a bad job? You apply at Burger King you're gonna get hired but don't apply there unless you are really desperate!

That was the rule back when I was unemployed. I’d get laughed at (literally) when they would see my application and my work history. Basically they knew that I was going to go back to my job when called to return. It’s called playing the game.

@ElizabethBabe1994 If your looking for jobs then it shouldn’t be an issue. If your following the rules then you won’t have to pay anything back.

Caved to lobbyists. Businesses don't want to pay a living wage. This will make it possible for a business to offer peanuts and then report the person for not accepting it. Joe completely caved in.

@Pitchblue That was the law, long before Biden. You had to be actively seeking work while receiving unemployment.
I was briefly laid off in the 80s, and by the time my unemployment was approved, I already had another job.

I was laid off of a job making 50 Grand a year I have 30 years of experience. And he wants me to take a job making minimum wage sounds like what's a Democrat Masters want us to be doing.

@dale74 Nice. If you are legitimately looking for a job I've never had a problem with Unemployment. Just sent the information in or at least have the places you went to documented.

@Loretta78 I worked as a daycare assistant I did call and ask if I was able to come back to work there but they told me that I can’t offer me a job right now and they won’t know until like the end of the year if I can come back.
