What do you think of Bidens executive order on illegal alien's?

They may not be detained or deported. Also the American government will reach out to all the illegal alien's who have been deported, this includes criminals and gang members, bringing them back to America at the cost of the tax payers so these people can be reunited with family and friends.

Mostly fine with it.

Offers an eight-year path to citizenship for millions of people who were living in the United States unlawfully on Jan. 1, 2021. They would be eligible to apply for a green card after five years in a temporary status if they pass background checks and pay their taxes, and could then apply for citizenship three years later.

- Allows people with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) protection, a group known as "Dreamers", who were brought to the United States illegally as children, farmworkers and people with Temporary Protected Status to immediately apply for a green card if they meet specific requirements. They would have a three-year path to citizenship.

- Permits certain immigrants who were deported during the Trump administration and had previously lived in the United States for three years to return to reunite with family or for other humanitarian reasons.

- Raises annual per-country limits on family-based immigration and eliminates them for employment visas.

- Exempts spouses and children of green card holders from employment-based immigration quotas, expanding the number of green cards available to employment-based immigrants.

- Scraps multi-year bars to re-entry for certain people who lived in the United States illegally and then left.

Clears family-based and employment-based visa backlogs.

- Provides work permits to dependents of H-1B visa holders.

- Authorizes regional processing centers in Central America to register and process people for refugee resettlement and other legal migration programs.

- Authorizes funding for legal counsel for vulnerable populations of migrants, such as children.

- Increases the number of immigration judges working in the court system.

- Eliminates the one-year filing deadline for asylum applications.

This last part is stupid and silly semantics though.
-Changes the word "alien" to "noncitizen" in U.S. immigration laws.

@chockaholic2020 STFU. One they won't even be able to vote for 8 years when they have a chance to apply for citizenship. Two, buying by definition denotes an exchange of money. So ummm yeah, go sit down in the corner.
@MethDozer anything re the northbound caravans? How’s that going to be dealt with?

@MethDozer The issue I mentioned is the current caravan heading north

@Stereoguy Most states don't require ID to vote. Mine doesn't either. Never heard anyone ever saying they went to vote and someone used their name to do so.

@soar2newhighs So it's a different one than the one that has been on its way for four years and never made it in? Considering thw higj failure rate of these caravans to even make it to the US border I wouldn't worry too much.

And again, in keeping with the boundries of thw thread topic.

@MethDozer The caravan(s) aren’t as much of a concern as the man who affixed his signature to the EO. And immigration is good for America but there is a process for it which numerous administrations have mishandle and now continue to do so. It is a legal process and it slaps people( in the face metaphorically (immigrants) who have waited and gone through the process or are currently waiting .My last comment. Thank you.

@Stereoguy Have you ever voted before? Here is how it works. You prove your citizenship un order to register. After you have registered you are given a voting site. At said voting site some helpful and pleasent citizens sit there expecting your arrival to cast your vote. They have you on a list. Your name and address. You are asked for your full name and address and they find your spot on said list and next to it, you sign your name to show you have come to cast your vote. No ID, just your signiture. To show who voted under your name and that you indeed have. You just get to walk in willy-nilly and proclaim ,"I'm me, I'm here, I vote for Diddle Dooo".

@Stereoguy only 7 states require a photo ID, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

3 a non-photo ID. Arizona, North Dakota, and Ohio.

@Stereoguy Nope, Virginia doesn't and Florida only requests an ID but doesn't require. Google it.

@Stereoguy Wrong
Virginia law requires all voters to provide either an acceptable form of ID or sign an ID Confirmation Statement at the polls. Voters arriving at the polls without an acceptable form of ID will be required to either sign an ID Confirmation Statement or vote a provisional ballot. If a voter votes a provisional ballot, they will have until noon on the Friday following the election to deliver a copy of identification to their locality’s electoral board or sign an ID Confirmation Statement in order for their provisional ballot to be counted. @Stereoguy HR1, a bill up before the House, will take election regulation AWAY from the states, and will PERMANENTLY give that power to Congress. The voting regulations will then ALL be modeled on California.
