I'm going to tell you the truth about any billionaire, millionaire, etc.
They're only worth that much on paper. Most of these people, all their assets are tied up in stuff. Real estate, manufacturing companies, or whatever.
I should know. I'm technically a millionaire, and yet my family and I are barely scraping by, because it's all tied up in those stupid rental properties. Can't access the money. Can't sell them, because you incur a huge capital gains tax that mostly wipes out the profit.
So yeah. When Elon is said to be a trillionaire, there's a lot of ", actually" that needs to be pointed out. As funny as it is to imagine him hoarding gold coins like a dragon or whatever, he doesn't have it in any practical form.
