It will take a bit more than a chainsaw to ruin his companies. So something more than a chainsaw is needed.

Perhaps a fleet of heavy equipment. His boring machine is a good possibility!

@DeWayfarer He seems to be making a good start!

@22Michelle Just Tesla. And even that will recover.

I don't see people fleeing X.

@DeWayfarer How about X? To mex he seems to be someone that's good a spotting gaps in the market and starting / acquiring companies to fill that gap. However, he doesn't seem to be good at running the companies.

@22Michelle Fully agree with you – he's a idea provider, nothing less, but also, nothing more than that.

@helenS only time and history will know. If there is any truth in history of the time, many will think it is fiction.

@22Michelle I just don't see his other business doing badly. Tesla is the only one doing badly.

X is just fine, his boring company is fine, Grok AI is just fine, SpaceX is doing just fine, Star link is doing just fine.

Only Tesla is doing poorly. And that was likely because it's a sacrificial lamb. He knew going in with Trump that Tesla would be hurt. Trump ALWAYS hated EV's.

It's surprising that Musk was able to keep Tesla going. Trump wants the gasoline Auto industry to thrive. And is going out of his way to do it. Subsides for charging stations was terminated! Expansion of oil drilling encouraged. EPA program is totally gutted.

Musk knew all of that, all along.

@DeWayfarer He's unlikely ever to be a paiper, but I doubt he's going to becthe "richest man in the world" for much longer.

@22Michelle I wouldn't say either way. That is too much in flux.
