@MarmeeMarch Hitler actually did once state that he believed Chaplin to be one of the greatest performers of all time. According to one of Hitler’s guards, even after the Nazi party outlawed all of Chaplin’s films, Hitler would still hold private screenings in his home. Chaplin, who was born 5 days before Hitler, felt that he and Hitler had a weird connection, almost like they were brothers who had taken completely opposing paths in life, and I have a hunch that Hitler probably felt the same way.[media=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7GY1Xg6X20]

@jshm2 Dictators usually present their policies as being about freedom. The idea is that the people are enslaved by this thing, and once the dictator removes the thing, the people can be free. Dictators ban media they don't like, but that's because this media is actually part of the thing that has enslaved us all.
Some dictators know they're lying, but who knows? Maybe Musk has lied to himself so much, he actually believes he's saving the world.
