@SatanBurger pretty much, it's just a new(er) catchphrase they all latched onto. If they were honest, when asked to define woke, the answer would most likely be some variation of "I find it icky"

But regardless. They think that people aren't born gay and that they're forced into it so to them, they believe it's all because of wokeness.
Kind of like how they'll blame immigrants for that one job they didn't get. They'll blame DEI and wokeness.
Or like today I had a conversation with a repub who told me I was sick because I didn't want child slave labor. I'm sure the hundreds of other options on how to raise children is woke to them but for some reason, only slave labor was the right way to raise them.
From what I can recall of various conversations, anything alternative is woke even if it has some scientific basis and reasoning. They can't accept things just happen, different circumstances and aren't very aware of different cultures.
