So Elon Musk will lead the new Department of Efficiency

Isn't that marvellous😯

Elon Musk and former republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency.

Mr Musk and Mr Ramaswamy "will pave the way for my Administration to dismantle government bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies," the US President-elect said in a statement.

Mr Trump said their work would conclude by 4 July 2026, adding that a smaller and more efficient government would be a "gift" to the country on the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The appointments reward two of Mr Trump's biggest supporters from the private sector.

In other words, they're going to cut regulations that get in their way for the private sector and then get the hell out of there so they have no responsibility nor blow back on them.

Just to be clear, the government has a ton of stupid redundancy which makes things less efficient...

But an additional Department is just going to add to that... and not actually going to fix that problem especially when putting two outside businessmen that don't know how the internal side works. And they're going to be there less than two years.

So they're just going to go knock out what's they want out to help their private business and then leave...
