So Elon Musk will lead the new Department of Efficiency

Isn't that marvellous😯

Elon Musk and former republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will lead the newly created Department of Government Efficiency.

Mr Musk and Mr Ramaswamy "will pave the way for my Administration to dismantle government bureaucracy, slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Agencies," the US President-elect said in a statement.

Mr Trump said their work would conclude by 4 July 2026, adding that a smaller and more efficient government would be a "gift" to the country on the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

The appointments reward two of Mr Trump's biggest supporters from the private sector.

Wow! A man whose businesses receive $2 to 3 billion per year in government contracts will be in charge of allocating government spending!! What could go wrong???

SpaceX alone got a whopping $2.8 billion in government contracts last year, according to The Information, and has gotten a total of $15.3 billion from the government since 2003.Apr 15, 2023

Also,
Musk owns an estimated 42% of SpaceX. He also controls voting rights for 78.3% of the shares.
