Any Elon Musk fans here ?

Split decision. I've said and I'll continue to say that I'm grateful to Elon Musk for dragging the world auto industry kicking and screaming into the electric era. I'm guessing he sped up the transition by ten or more years. With that said, I find his egotism and his politics despicable.

@Emosaur Agreed, public transportation is the better option. However, most cities and towns in the US have [b]lousy[/b] public transport available, and most US citizens love their cars too much to change. Our solution has to take account of these facts.

We are already weaning ourselves off of cobalt:

Australia produces over 20% of the world's cobalt and they do so without exploiting workers.
