Can someone explain the reverence conservatives have for Elon Musk?

They claim to hate "big tech," but Musk invented PayPal.

They hate electric vehicles, but Musk made his fortune selling them.

The guy makes a few comments that suggest he doesn't believe in content moderation, so when he says he's buying Twitter, conservatives go gaga.

I sincerely hope Musk buys Twitter, runs it into the ground, and loses his fortune trying unsuccessfully to keep it afloat. That would be hilarious.

Most of the people who worship him are the hyper capitalist crypto bros who also worship Jordan Belfort and Grant Cardone which explains alot.

And most of that is true except the Tesla thing. All Musk did was buy the company and lauched the Tesla he promised to the founder into orbit in a tantrum.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I see a lot of conservatives who are poor trailer park types who think Musk will end content moderation on Twitter and let Trump and Nazis and anyone else say anything without "censorship." Big tech censors liberals more than conservatives as the Facebook papers showed, but these guys think they're the most oppressed people in the world.
@LeopoldBloom Remember, these are the same people who think Trump is not an oligarch and is a man of the working class. Reasoning is not their strong point.
