13 former Trump administration officials sign open letter backing up John Kelly's criticism of Trump

How many more people who personally worked with Trump have to tell you what he is before you finally believe it?

For what my opinion is worth (and I live on a different continent) the Democrats need to concentrate on their own campaign.

Everyone who votes has an opinion on Trump and that opinion is set. No amount of criticism of his character or suitability for office will shift any more people. (even if it isltrue and valid). Calling him a fascist won't work, because people don't think that fascism can happen in America and because it sounds like a partisan exaggeration.

Charities talk of compassion fatigue. Its when suffering becomes so regular that people just zone out. It's the same with criticising Trump. His trick is to be so ridiculously full of scandals that 'it can't all be true'. Even though most of it is.

Up until the days after the convention, Harris was winning the election. Since then, the campaign has been more low-key and has pivoted slightly to the right in order to target soft Trump supporters. It hasn't worked and the Harris campaign is back with their original problem: People don't know what she stands for. And tbh, it's a reasonable opinion.

Harris needs to have (or at least emphasise) positive policy proposals. The staus quo isn't popular because the Biden administration is (unfairly) blamed for inflation. Unless something changes, I think that she is going to lose. I don't want that.

@Burnley123 I'm afraid you might be right.

@Burnley123 As you said most people have their minds set, so Harris campaign isn't focusing on motivating those who will already vote for her, but those who after 9+ years of trumpism are somehow still "undecided". Me and you and Shadowfire simply aren't the target audience of that message, but people who may flip left and right wherever they feel its more convenient ("libertarians", enlightened centrists, people who care about politics for one day every four years and so on) can be swayed if you point out to then that a lunatic dictatorship isn't going to benefit them personally.

Also attacking Hillary close to the election proved successful in 2016 with these people, so Trump has only Trump to blame for setting the precedent.
