yeah it feels like it will happen and when it does regardless of who has the congress senate in the white house abortion rights won't be restored at least in our lifetime or at the level it was say in 2020
to elaborate the distance between pro choice and profile is thing (footnote 1 )

it doesn't appear the democracts have a dog in the fight with some being having apathy on abortion rights while republicans are driven by a zeal end abortion (no footnotes trying not to bury you)
the Supreme court already showed it stance and will toe the pro life line.
and lastly the USA is largely Christians and most Christians seem to have issues with terminating a pregnancy. I think much of it is the christian belief in a soul---as in a fetus has a soul / hard to find data on that though
