Will people stop booing Trump if he and his entire administration resign? What about his descendants?

What if he commits the Japanese ceremonies Seppuku (or harakiri) would that save his descendants from sharing in his dishonor? Saving THEM at the least.
It’d be the most befitting of SAVE Acts.
DEFINITIONS:
SEPPUKU- a form of Japanese ritualistic suicide by disembowelment, historically practiced by samurai to avoid dishonor, capture, or as a form of protest. Deeply rooted in the Bushido warrior code, it was considered a courageous act to restore honor to oneself or family, often involving a second who would decapitate the practitioner.
Key details regarding honor suicide in Japan:

Method: The practitioner would cut into their abdomen with a blade, often a tanto, to demonstrate courage.

Purpose: It was used to avoid the shame of defeat, protest unfair treatment, or atone for failures.

CONTEXT: While originating with samurai in the 12th century, it was used by officers during World War II and, in earlier eras, served as capital punishment.

Jigai: A female version of this practice, which involved cutting the throat, was known as jigai.

Cultural Significance: This practice is deeply embedded in Japanese history as a form of self-sacrifice rather than a disgraceful act.

Seppuku (切腹)
Meaning: "Belly-cutting" (using Chinese characters, more formal).
Context: The honorable ritualistic suicide practiced by samurai to atone for failure, restore honor, or avoid capture.
Ritual: A highly formalized ceremony with specific procedures, often involving a death poem and a second (kaishakunin) to perform a swift decapitation.
Harakiri (腹切り)
Meaning: "Belly-cutting" (using native Japanese characters, more colloquial).
Context: A more informal, sometimes crude term for the act, often used by commoners or in less formal situations.
Connotation: Can imply the act itself without the full, honorable ritual, sometimes just leaving the person to endure immense pain.
Key Difference Summarized
Seppuku: The dignified, formal ritual for the samurai class.
Harakiri: The informal, everyday term for the same act, less ceremonial.
People would have the same politics problem without Trump. That's rather the point, isn't it? Fictional reasons and fictional enemies, same bipartisan politics.

@Roundandroundwego you had me for awhile with that one. The concern being that we are turned against ourselves? Internal corruption and criminality unchecked and allowed to propagate for such a long time that only a complete erasure and reset MIGHT salvage this mess.
Does that mean everyone in office over retirement age or for more than 3 consecutive terms (in the legislature) needs to be ousted or forced to resign? That’s the easy way. Does it mean we need to enact term limits on all elected offices in federal government (first)? Probably. Does it mean we need guillotine for all parties that appear in the Epstein files more than some number of times? Idk that’d be easier.
There are a lot of difficult questions and decisions to be made before all these post retirement age politicians are too far gone to answer appropriate and necessary questions.
Difficult questions those currently in political office are refusing
@jehova using politics would sort them out quickly - you elect only people against US aggression, for socialized medicine, for ending DHS.

@Roundandroundwego politics are being used and have been being used forever. Hopefully it comes to a head soon to sort these atrocities out but it’s become infuriating; more by the day

@jshm2 I bet he is already dead or at deaths door. Propped up by a regime in the process of being crucified. Dementia is not a suitable excuse for the actions taken by Trump when he still had his facilities. Therefore I hope for prison!

@jshm2 if Hitler did what he did “because of dementia” would it be viewed as any less terrible?
