In Taiwan and Paris and New York and Los Angeles during my youth there was a vibrant film culture, plenty of opportunities to act and make films. The population was free, housed, fed and not working all the time! Not like you really want authentic art NOW! You can buy some substitutes. God KNOWS you can't house or feed a population without enslaving it and abusing it! Art comes from free people. Not from workers.

Another nonsensical tarriff. He's protecting an industry the US dominates. Seems to be no rythm or reason to his policies. But it will hurt BC yes, same with Toronto.

Many, many movies are filmed primarily in the us, with scenes shot in others countries.
And what of documentary films? Gonna be difficult to do a film about the Brazilian rain forest on a mocked up set in hollywood.

Makes no sense. They're filmed somewhere in BC, but they pretend it's Seattle, LA, San Francisco, Portland, Wyoming....

If they can pay people $40 million for a months work they can spend the money to film in the USA.
