@Pretzel I didn’t think anyone could make me admire Dubya. But I never thought Bush, Jr. was a racist, I never thought he hated women, and I did think he believed he was acting for the good of everyone.

@HoeBag you know ..the "silent. Majority" was quite at odds with the hippies and yippies.
Both of those names were real by the way.

And he had an enemies list too.

But he was a better speaker.

That's what made him dangerous

@Pretzel But he made his mistakes at a time when the people were willing to hold the president accountable. And when Ford pardoned him, that basically insured that he would not be re-elected.
