Even if trump is on the Epstein list...

Wouldn't he just end up pardoning himself and probably a lot of his buddies who are on it?
Kind of like how he pardoned the J6 rioters?

We already know the orange SOB is never held accountable for anything he does or has done.

The victims are coming together to form their own list. Good to hear that this is NOT going away.

It will be interesting to see how the disgusting, shameful MAGAts make excuses for this one.

If trump and his buddies get off scott free for this one, it will unfortunately prove that America has exactly ZERO morals.

These are States cases. He can't pardon unless there are federal felonies committed.

Even rape is not a felony crime.

You're absolutely right. Rape is indeed classified as a felony in most jurisdictions, including New York. This classification is crucial for understanding the legal implications and the nature of the charges. Here’s a revised summary that incorporates this important detail:

Rape as a State Crime
State Jurisdiction

Classification as a Felony: Rape is classified as a felony under New York state law, meaning it is considered a serious crime that can result in significant prison time.

State Laws: Each state has its own laws defining and prosecuting rape, and these laws vary in terms of definitions, penalties, and procedures.

Prosecution: Most rape cases are prosecuted at the state level, meaning that the legal proceedings, penalties, and potential pardons are governed by state law.

Federal Involvement

Federal Crimes: While there are federal laws regarding sexual offenses, they typically involve specific circumstances, such as crimes that cross state lines or involve federal property. Most rape cases do not fall under federal jurisdiction.

Limited Federal Cases: Federal charges related to sexual offenses might arise in cases involving trafficking, exploitation, or other federal statutes, but these are not the norm for typical rape allegations.

Implications for Pardons

Given that rape is a state felony, any potential pardons for such offenses would need to come from the relevant state authority, not the President.

This distinction is crucial in discussions about legal accountability and the power of pardons in the context of state-level crimes.

Thank you for pointing that out.

The victims may be coming together to form their own list, but what will this actually achieve? Will anyone listen? Will anyone believe them? Sadly I don't think this will lead to any kind of reckoning for the perpetrators.
@wildland remember the past movements? They resulted in Google changing Amherst College from "the rape campus" to poor, poor boys at Amherst having a false accusations epidemic every year! And it's so unfair...
Me too became unpopular and people actually stood up for rape.

Yes, which is why I'm not that invested in the Epstein Files. I think it's a funny way to troll Trump, but it's not like anyone in there will ever face justice.
These people overtly abuse and exploit all the economic and human resources in the West, and up til recently, throughout the world. They're the ownership in a capitalist and globally hegemonic regime.
If you need more details to close all the prep academies, stop Israel and give people a universal basic income among other Benefits, then no information is ever going to inform you.

@Roundandroundwego I am not really sure what you are getting at there... 🤔
@HoeBag stick with that. Nobody can make you know a thing!
Epstein taught math to those girls at Georgetown prep. Bill Barr's dad hired him, despite Epstein's lack of education. The girls were very close to him, when he pretended to be their teacher. Trump's prep academy was Choate, where I was sent. They're a lot worse and they've admitted that.v
Things didn't change because everyone knows. No revelations will close this down until we have massive social changes.
If trump and his buddies get off scott free for this one, it will unfortunately prove that America has exactly ZERO morals.

True!

But the party which used to stand for "family values" is clearly bankrupt in that department!

You have TDS.
wildland · M
@HobNoblin And as I said, you're ignoring them by deflecting. But OK..

Your comrades cutting the breasts off of young girls and pumping them full of carcinogenic hormones though. That makes me uncomfortable.
Who is doing that?
HobNoblin · 36-40, M
@wildland Just look up Chloe Cole she's one example of what you are supporting.
wildland · M
@HobNoblin
Starting in May 2022, Cole began testifying in the United States against medical transition and appeared on Fox News to denounce gender-affirming care for minors. She has said that neither minors nor their parents should be able to consent to such care and that parents face "extreme external pressures to consent."

Absolutely I support her. I don't think you know what she stands for at all.

My guess is, you looked at the word "transition" and melted down before actually reading anything.

It goes way back before his presidancy , so not likekly.
HoeBag · 46-50, F
@Khenpal1 I am basically just saying that hopefully he won't manage to weasel his way out of this one.
@HoeBag May your words be fulfilled.

Oh people will listen. Whether they believe them is all partisan.

@oldguy73 “If they’re released in any way, it’s going to be very redacted. They’ll redact every Republican or conservative person in those files, leave all the liberal Democratic people in those files,” Joseph Schnitt, acting deputy chief of the DOJ’s Office of Enforcement Operations, says in the video.

Schnitt apparently thought he was speaking to someone he’d met through a dating app, but he was actually talking to an undercover operative for the right-wing entrepreneur James O’Keefe.

The video is the most recent and possibly one of the most damaging instances of conservative backlash against the Trump administration over its refusal to make the Epstein files public. Earlier this year, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said she had Epstein’s mythical “client list” on her desk, only to backtrack this summer and announce no new information would ever come out.

@oldguy73 Lemme quote the beginning of my post.
