I'm not so sure about that, but while I'd hate to see another disgusting abuse of the Presidency, it would be sort of a silver lining with regard to things going forward if he didn't have a rubber stamp Congress.

@Dshhh Possibly, maybe probably, even.
But the fact that they weren't aware of, or didn't believe, or didn't care about so many red flags is still problematic.
It's not like they were kept in the dark against their will by the mainstream media. They chose the dark, and preferred to believe in his dont pay attention to your eyes and ears shtick and trusted him with the Presidency for whatever reason, be it laziness, a desire to see others suffer, or a selfish hope for a piece of the action in the short term.
I'd love to think that Trump voters are not irrevocably "deplorable" and that they may come to their senses and give enough of a $$$$ about humanity or at least their children, but I can't say I can ever see trusting them after all this time.
Why should pardoning Maxwell be all that different from other pardons he issued for favors, money or advantage?
What's that different from the "perfect" Zelensky phone call?, the Quatari jet, the I just need x votes, or Russia are you listening?
I get that Pedophilia may be a little different, but Trump's connections with it and the contempt he has for women, young girls, losers, and weaklings, and anyone else he can get away with exploiting are not new, nor do I expect there's a smoking gun that hasnt already been disposed of.

@Dshhh I think you are correct, even though if you actually force yourself to listen to him regardless of his demented gibberish, he told them what he wanted to do and [is now] doing…
Did they just miss it, not believe he actually would, or didn’t care if he did??? And which of those awful choices is the worst???

They will find an excuse to back him up. Check out Bongino's revised position.

Nope. They'll simply justify it away like they've done every single illegal act he's committed since his being illegally elected.

no pardon. the deal is done. in exchange for silence, Maxwell enjoys minimum security.
unless i'm wrong, a pardon makes Maxwell immune to prosecution, meaning Maxwell is free to name names, meaning DJT has no leverage over Maxwell ever
if America still upholds laws ( if if America does, please tell SCOTUS because they sure don't )

@tenente exactly. As soon as I saw the news that she was moved I said Trump and his DOJ made their deal and he's safe.
