Trump Pushes Policies That 'Treat Homelessness and Mental Illness as a Crime

Meanwhile, National Coalition for the Homeless executive director Donald Whitehead Jr. declared that "everyone deserves a safe place to live."

Trump's policies, he said, "ignore decades of evidence-based housing and support services in practice. They represent a punitive approach that has consistently failed to resolve homelessness and instead exacerbates the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals."

🚨 Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Trump's policies later down the line contribute to homegrown domestic terrorism. Not that I'm calling for something like that to happen but it is a predictable consequence to authoritarianism.

This could get bad, I give it up to a year before we start seeing things getting worse.

I would venture to guess there are more people thinking this than we think. imho

It wouldn't surprise meone bit if there's a lot of homeless deaths by his hand in the near future.

But I really doubted him at first. He really is making America great again. In fact I remember when our country was great like this before. It was great.

Let me ask you something @Diotrephes .. if you own the house why do you have to pay taxes on it? Or are you just renting the land from the government? If you own it what happens if you don't pay the taxes on something you already own?

The government owns all of the land in the country and people can use and occupy it as long as they pay the specified property taxes. You can build on it as long as you follow the zoning laws and even sell the title to another person and keep the proceeds after you pay the taxes. In return the government will fight for you against enemies who want to take your property.

@Diotrephes the government only has power because we give it and allow it to govern our land. That is why they are called public servants instead of us being called government servants

@Entwistle It shows how far out of touch he is, I don't understand how people think he's capable

@SatanBurger Many people are too scared or are unable to think critically.
It's kind of like if someone were to break your leg and then they sell you a crutch to help you walk..then you thank them for selling you the crutch!

@Entwistle with a free bandaid
Aside from its inhumanity, the other question this policy raises is: who's going to pay for incarceration of all these homeless?? If tRump makes homelessness a federal crime, where will he find the money to imprison them all??

Oh, wait, this guy figured it out!
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@ElwoodBlues That's exactly what is going to happen and I'll make sure to keep an eye out so i know what not to buy. I'm not supporting that
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
@ElwoodBlues this. Everything he does is to profit the wealthy

"This sick person costs the community 60,000 reichsmarks during his lifetime. Comrade, that is your money too." (1938)

@BohemianBabe That's crazy it sounds exactly like a far right campaign

Do you know why Donny Trump doesn't win races? He's always comin in a little behind.
Too soon?
In a meritocracy like the USA, we homeless fully expect you to be murderous to us! No surprise.
