Trump making a phone call with Xi isn't going to change anything for investors. We have all seen this before. He will claim to have reached a deal one

day, and the next day write a post on TruthSocial about %100 tariffs. Trump started a war he cannot win. And really, I regret voting for him because we are heading into a recession all because of Trump.

He's accomplished more in the few months he's been in office then his predecessor did in 4 years. I'd suggest you give this some time. What he's attempting to do is a major realignment in international trade. No one has ever tried it before to the level he is.

We're not heading into a recession. As much as the legacy media wishes we would, I don't believe for a second we are. He's secured trillions in investments in US industry. He's opened up markets to US goods that were limited to us previously. The trade deficits have narrowed, unemployment is under control, and inflation is at it's lowest since before the pandemic.

You are welcome to panic if you'd like. I have neighbors that did and dumped stocks like it was the end of the world. When they sold I bought.

@MistyCee I don't think he or anyone deserves more than 2 terms. So perhaps we agree on that point. Giving him more time means he's been in office since January 20th. It's a bit unreasonable to expect amazing results when the last clown accomplished nothing but harm on the country. He's attempting to restructure the way the world trades with the US. Not a small task. I'm willing to give him a bit more than a few months to accomplish it.

@iamthe99 Not quite. I dealt with Biden's incompetence for 4 years. Did he try to better trade relations and change our trade deficit with other countries? No. The only benefits he was able to derive wound up in the pockets of him and his family. I don't see liberals apologizing for electing a dementia patient to run the free world. And I'm not holding my breath. 🙄

@Jokersswild Don't worry about my 401K. It's in better shape today than it was a year ago. And when the market dipped, I advanced my maximum contribution for the year. My 401k is doing just fine thank you. How is yours?

You claim he's willing to take the country down. I see trillions of new investment coming into the US. I see business owners starting to spend on capital improvements. I see it first hand because that's what my business does. Add it all up and I'm optimistic and feel the second half of the year is lining up to be very active in a positive way. So you and the others commenting on this thread can run in circles if you'd like claiming the sky is falling. I choose not to.

At first Trump started his trade war with Canada and Mexico and maybe he could of won that war. Now he has expanded it to the world and there is no way he will win. And I think his trade war will hurt the US a lot more then it will hurt the world. Cheers!
@Nanoose Yes. Sadly, yes.

Wow, you are one of the very few Trumpers on this site that have actually admitted making a mistake in voting for him. Kudos!
Just like every economist predicted would be the result of his campaign promises. But I guess some people need to feel the consequences before they'll believe anyone.

Better late than never though. Welcome to the good side of history.
You don't believe he's playing 4D chess with his "weave" while the rest of the world is playing checkers?
First rule of Trump, never do anything based on his word ... half the time he's not telling the truth, and the other half of the time he doesn't know what's going on.
R's tend to get us into recessions...
