It's not as simple as the Ukrainians want to present it.It is not just a big bully picking on some little kid. About 1/5 maybe a little less of the population of Ukraine is ethically Russian. Their families have lived in the area for hundreds of years.
Should Donald Trump have known this before making such a fool-hearted statement. Of course he should. I do think it is best that he wash his hands with the whole situation and not mess with what basically is a border war.

@Slicker24 Hundreds of years? I think you'll find that most ethnic Russians were moved in to Ukraine and Crimea by the Soviets after millions of Ukrainians were starved to death by the Soviets in the 1930's and most of the Crimean Tatas were relocated to Siberia in the 1920's. Google Holodomor... While you're at it, Google The Budapest Memorandum.

@SomeMichGuy Let me put it this way. Back in 2022 I took a look at the map of Ukraine. I could see that Russia was occupying about 1/5 of it. Then all I could hear Was Ukraine did this, Ukraine did that Ukraine blew up Russia s biggest oil field, Putin In panic.
I took another look at the map in early 2025 and it looked about the same. I quit even listening to that war and decided to take another look at the map in September or October of this year and see if anything has changed.

@SomeMichGuy Listen, if Ukraine put 1/10 of the energy trying to take back the land that was took from them as they are trying to destroy Russia this war would have been over with a long time ago.You Hear from the people of Ukraine and ask them why they are doing this they will tell you that this is getting the reparations from the hundreds of years that Russia has enslaved them, so this didn't just start back A few years ago. It didn't start back in the days of Stalin, either.
