There will be Anti-Trump rallies nationwide Saturday

I will be attending the one in my solidly Republican district.

So here are my impressions of the rally.

People of all ages were there. For the SWeeps who keep talking about "boomers" as "conservatives", you would have been surprised at how many older people were there, even some with walkers and in wheelchairs.

The mood was a happy one, not an embittered one . People were angry at Trump, as I am, but people had smiles on their faces as we supported each other. (Very different from the mood of protests in the 60's about Vietnam, for example.) Families were there. As we talked to each other, we all agreed that we simply had to do something other than get depressed watching the news and seeing what Trump was doing. To go out to meet others of like mind, gathered together, was refreshing and invigorating for me. It was a celebration as much as it was a protest. It gave me hope for the future of this country.

I took a picture of this little girl with her mother's permission. The mother of course did not want the girl's face in the picture. But this sums up the mood entirely.

@DrWatson Were there lots of people there? Because ole BizSuitStacy made a post saying that photos show only tens of people at these rallies, instead of the thousands as advertised. He said there were probably more people at just one of Trump’s campaign rallies than there were at all the Hands Off rallies combined.

@DrWatson ❤❤❤❤❤ one heart is simply not enough!
@DrWatson I figured it would be this way for a lot of people. People have to calm down, take a deep breath, and give Trump the opportunity to fix the nasty mess the Dems left us in and that's quite a bit. The problem is, and people don't stop to think about this, but Musk has discovered and exposed, tons of fraudulent practices that people aren't even aware of, and to get that fixed, it won't happen overnight and Trump told us it would get worse before it gets better and that's what we're looking at right now, so people shouldn't panic. I don't like some of the things he's done either, but I do know he knows business better than anyone and how to handle it. We all need to give him time and support him. He's got a ton on his shoulders, trying to get this all straightened out from the last Administrations shenanigans. People should be saying, "Just look what you've done to us, and how we're having to suffer, because of you Dems!"

Trump will come through. But it will definitely take time, maybe 2 years to straighten out what these idiots did to our country. People should be shaking a fist at Obama and Biden. And Trump is the only one with guts enough to take on the whole country even though he didn't have to. He didn't need all this chaos and haters, but he took it on for us anyway. God put him in office for a reason so we need to trust that he will see him and us, through it all.

We all need to be praying for Trump, if our country is going to recover. I don't know of any other man that would be willing to take on this job. I think he's perfectly capable and I don't see anybody else raising their hand to take on this mess. He certainly didn't do it for the money. We just need to give him time and trust God. Now is the time to rally for the man and that means everyone, because without our prayers and support, we're just making it harder for him to do his job.

Half the videos and advertising they're using today against Trump are just lies being promoted by the Democrats. They never give up trying to turn America against him in their smear campaigns. They want to instill fear in the American public and hate for Trump and then have the gall to turn around and say oh let us help you fix America again. We've had enough of that. We saw what they did to this country and it was nothing but destroy it. People need to chill and give Trump both credit and time, to TRY and recover from the destruction and devastation Obama and Biden caused. We wouldn't be in this mess, if it weren't for them.

An encouragingly significant number pf people attended those held today, in my majority Republican and Trump supporting state, and district. I wasn't among them, and I feel a little bit guilty about that.

How did it go? All I've heard or read so far about the rallies here, is that crude words and hand signals were directed at those who attended them.

@Piper I was at the one in Columbia SC at the statehouse today and there were thousands there which is impressive for this state
I'm not talking about you here when I say this, but this reminds me of the people who turned against Moses when he took them out of the slavery in Egypt and promised he would take care of them and they had all the food and drink they wanted, but let just one little thing appear to have gone wrong and they turned against him in a heartbeat. They didn't want to give him time, to bring them into the Promise Land . Didn't give him a chance to prove himself, but right away jumped on him when things appeared to be going wrong, but they weren't and he always came to their rescue. Trump is trying his best to fix this mess and naturally it's going to be ugly for a while and be hard, but he didn't cause this mess and we wouldn't be in this mess if it weren't for the Dems so we need to support him. He knows what he's doing. The Dems don't like it because he exposed all their fraudulent practices, that's all. They're trying to get back at him with hate campaigns.

@LadyGrace

Here we go:

@graphite smh

Taking an anthill and making into more.

Activist groups routinely make materials available about how get people out, etc.; thus, the packets.

Reimbursement for some costs--don't know how widespread that is...
graphite · 61-69, M
How much are these people being paid and who is paying them?
@graphite Meanwhile...people are going because they are exercising their Constitutional rights.

March around and waste your time!
TexChik · F
Since Obama can't dip into the USAID slush fund any longer, will the libs pay for it out of their own private pocketful of taxpayer funds?
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M
George Soros and our leftover tax paying at work. Very very very desperate.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@FreestyleArt Nobody is paying me, I assure you.

But keep right on deceiving yourself that anger at Trump is all staged, if you need to believe it .
4meAndyou · F
@DrWatson I really thought you were better than that...perhaps ABOVE it.
4meAndyou · F
While you are there, look around you. Those truly crazy, hate driven people who will also attend are those with whom YOU have chosen to side.
Don't come crying to us when you realize that most under 35 won't even know anything why they're actually there other than it being anti trump.
