Well the unemployment rate in the US was around 2.5 percent between 2018-2020.
Of course before the pandemic hit.
Does this answer the question.🤔
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Zonuss In reality it doesnt. First, employment lags behind the economy and the economy lags well behind any government action. Second , even then it is subject tointernational and global forces, as well as special government hiring programs. For intstance the national highways program of the 30s, which soaked manpower across the nation for ordinary labouring men..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman You still didn't answer my question
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman If this administration deregulates the system and lowers the interest rates we will be fine. They said it was impossible to get gas down past $2 then. They got it wrong. Those were good times. And if you cannot admit that then you have no idea how
economics works.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Zonuss OK. Now we can argue regulation/ degulation until the cows come home and not resolve who is right (even though its me). But lowering interest rates is only going to lead to raising inflation, which means higher prices and there is no way around that. The rise and fall of gas prices is based on supply and demand. Demand drops, so do prices. Thats how economics woks? The other factor in pricing? How much of a subsidy or tax break the government gives the oil companies.😷
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman We know the economy will get better under Trump.
Sorry if that reality frightens you.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Zonuss I can accept that the economy may LOOK better under trump at first. At the cost of adding a few $trillion to the overseas borrowings that already have every man, woman and child US citizen owing over $100,000.00 . Mostly to some overseas county or to some future pension fund within the US..But the BRICS deals currently being done are going to speed up the worlds move away from the $US as a trade currency and cut off the abaility of the US to just print more $ to pay its bills. At that point the world stops taking Americas IOUs.
After that the REAL trouble starts. And thats just numbers. Not politics. Both sides have been building up to this for decades.😷
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman No it won't just look better. It will be better. It will feel better. And it will be quite clear that it is better. Correction. ☺

@Zonuss Wrong as usual, my eagle friend. You see, Mr. Trump is following the Republican playbook of dirty tricks when it comes to the economy. Republican politicians have long known the secret to making it look in the short run as if the economy is recovering, only to have it crash when the next president takes office.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Zonuss I would love to see some of the numbers behind those claims.😷
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@CorvusBlackthorne Every time you guys say Trump is wrong he gets it right. 😂
Good day. 🙃

@whowasthatmaskedman Easy. It's called Google. Use it wisely. ☺
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Zonuss Yes. Clearly we look at different sources. Mine have numbers and charts and are put out by government departments and academics. Yours have flags and pictures of Trump crossing the Delaware...😷
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman False. The economy collapsed because the Biden Administration is part of the establishment. Inflation is a scam. It's a lie. It's a game.
Just watch how quickly things turn around with these deregulations and lower interest rates.
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@whowasthatmaskedman There's a reason why Trump won in a landslide.
Whatever you say sir. 😂

@Zonuss I would hardly call this election a landslide. Mr. Trump did not even win 50% of the popular vote. However, I also do not expect that to stop him from insisting that it was a landslide and a mandate, as he is unable to bring himself to stick to the simple truth.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Zonuss I am stunned to silence by the sheer intellectual force of your argument.😷
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@CorvusBlackthorne America loves a winner. But all you need to do in America to be a "winner" is to scream loudly enough that you are to a wide audience and pretty soon they will believe you and buy your merch . (Can you explain the Kardashians and Genners any other way?) Pretty soon being an American winner will be the same as one of those "I participated" stickers they give to every kid who ran...😷
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I thought it already was?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@CorvusBlackthorne True. but up to now the rest of the world accepted that America was pretty much the leader/bully of the free world. Now pretty much only America believes that. (Plus or minus a few nations who rely on US arms imports and have pallet loads of $US stashed here and there they havent offloaded yet.)😷
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@whowasthatmaskedman One hopes this does not lead to Russian/Chinese/North Korean supremacy.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@CorvusBlackthorne There is no doubt the Chinese will lead the charge. They already bought the game. And America sold it to them.. Thats not a judgement call. Thats accounting..😷
