While Melania hasn't been seen since the Republican National Convention, Donald seems to have found a replacement in far-right influencer Laura Loomer. Loomer was recently castigated as "racist" by none other than Marjorie Taylor Greene (yes, you heard that right) over a tweet saying if Kamala Harris is elected, the White House will smell of curry and no one will understand the public comment line.
No one in the "family values" party seems to have an issue with this, even though Trump is still "married" and Loomer is 11 years younger than Ivanka. Don't let that plastic fantastic look fool you - Loomer is 31.
Wow…just goes to show, there’s always some woman that desperate. But she’s really a hardcore racist if MTG caught it. And Donald and his followers will like her just fine.
@Tastyfrzz Actually, very impressive for someone her age.
Ono is a Fluxist so you have to look at this through that lens. I give her credit for introducing four working-class boys from Liverpool to the wider world of 20th century avant-garde art music, which could account for the difference between "early Beatles" and "late Beatles."
By the way, I'm friends with her on Facebook, and have been since around 2008. She doesn't post much.
Will the minions approve of this? Knowing that they are all about Christian values HA!!! But I am sure they will say he is okay to do whatever cuz he is just being nice LMAO
@Pitchblue Vance was pitching it earlier and it had already been making the rounds in right-wing media, but it's possible that she suggested bringing it up in the debate.
@tindrummer Yet another reason I don’t understand women who still support Trump. GOP rep Nancy Mace, another one of Trump’s staunchest supporters (and also reportedly a rape victim herself) was asked that by George Stephanopoulos during an interview. She gave no rational explanation, but tore his head off accusing George S of trying to "shame" her as a rape victim. Mace then proceeded to arguably shame E. Jean Carroll for having brought the charges against Trump. Nancy Mace has proven a special kind of crazy…
@bijouxbroussard Trump owns the GOP, and if he's reelected, Mace definitely wants to be on his good side. She's seen what happens to Republicans who go against him, like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, and even Republicans who don't support him with full-throated vigor, like Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy.
If Trump loses, I predict that there will be an initial push from the Republican establishment to move away from him. But if he manages to stay out of prison, he's going to start talking about running again in 2028, and if his cult doesn't abandon him, they'll be stuck with him again. It will be like after Jan. 6 when it looked like the party was done with him, but when he didn't go away, most of them eventually got back on board the Trump train.
@Elisbch if he has been taking speed or it's equivalent he.may have lost a bunch of weight. The knowledge that he's going to prison and losing all of his money is probably affecting him too.
@Strictmichael75 And then as now, the answer was "yes, it’s wrong and inappropriate". Who says Trump never found a way to justify acting upon those feelings ? He’s amoral enough in general. 😞
@bijouxbroussard I thought Ron DeSatan's lawyer Ryan Newman provided a good definition: "the belief there are systemic injustices in American society and the need to address them."
@Miram Trump has sexually objectified women his entire life, along with being credibly accused of rape (including rape of minors) and was found legally liable for sexual assault in a court of law. Any woman who chooses to attach herself to him knows what she's getting into. And a woman like Loomer is not deserving of respect even if she had nothing to do with Trump.
I still disagree with using sexual language to demean any woman. It achieves nothing but continue to add to the sadistic power trip. And in this thread, she wasn't the only one being sexualized.
@Miram I can't control how other people react. I don't think I sexualized her. Calling her "Temu Melania" is definitely demeaning, but not in a sexual way.
@GeistInTheMachine Blech. If her skin was any tighter, it would split and her skull would pop out. She reminds me of Helga the Horrible, the woman in the spy movies who comes in after the bad guys have captured the hero to torture him.
@Bumbles Melania is probably relieved that his attention is elsewhere. The one who's really mad is Kari Lake. She was pushing hard to be his VP pick, and now she's not even his side item.
@Bumbles I think she'll only care if Loomer becomes a problem on the right. This hasn't really taken off on the left yet either; I'm not sure why. If it goes viral the way Vance's couch sex thing did, that might be an issue for her.
@LordShadowfire Hold on there! If you are referencing the sympathetic character created by actor Boris Karloff and make up genius Jack Pierce, I object. Perhaps 'hag' or 'goon' would be better.
