Unless SCOTUS finds that New York State law unconstitutional (which they can't - those pesky states rights) then they have no say over a perfectly legal jury conviction in New York State.

They of course know that would be false imprisonment and they ( the DA and the Judge) would likely see some slammer time for grossly violating Trump's rights for political gain. I would suspect if Trump wins , both of those clowns will be disbarred and have to spend their Soros money as civilians
No one is above the law, especially not the president. No dictators allowed in the USA - EVER. Trump will have to face the consequences of his actions in a court of law.
It won’t. The argument is that since Trump wrote a few of the payoff checks after he was president, he’s immune. So those felony counts might be dropped but not the others.
