Ex-Trump supporters, what made you change your mind?

Adogslife · 61-69, M
Hillary didn’t get elected. That doesn’t mean he’s worth another shot.

Now, he panders to the far right WAY too much for my old school Republican beliefs.

@Adogslife I am not going to debate you, but could you tell what in your opinion, what
old school Republican beliefs
are
Reason10 · 61-69, M
@Adogslife
Pop quiz, snowflake.

1. Define far right.

2. Tells is exactly what LEGALLY ELECTED PRESIDENT TRUMP did to pander to the far right.
(Considering that he signed a bill legalizing the production of hemp, as well as let out a few hundred THOUSAND blacks from prison who were arrested for smoking ONE joint, you might have a problem with this.)

@robertsnj Sure thing.

Let’s use Roe v Wade as an example. Would most today know that Republicans were 5 of the 7 votes in favor? That’s not happening in 2024.

I’m a believer in the separation of Church and State. That wall is being torn down by Republicans (today) almost singlehandedly. Can anyone say in good faith that the Church supports equal rights for women?

Do you think there’s been a voter shift in the Bible belt from Democrat to Republican? It seems apparent to me…

That’s one of many examples, but it’s a big one for my vote.

I never fully supported him; I just believed he was the least bad option of the two, then I remembered that there is a write-in option. Some people say that voting third party is throwing away your vote, but that is completely wrong because if enough people voted for said third party candidate, they would win.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@eventtemple123 But enough people won't ,and you know that;therefore,it IS throwing your vote away.

Probably drugs, and a hatred for this country.
