Do you think Trump really talked to Ruby Garcia's family?

At a rally Trump claimed he had talked to the grief filled family members of Rudy Garcia – who was a victim of homicide. It came as a surprise to the Garcia family because the say Trump never talked to them. When Trump was asked if he really did talk to the Garcia family - because they claim you didn’t talk to them – Trump doubled down and said – well I talked to a few of the family members. This post is not about a secure border. It is about a presidential nominee that might have made up a lie that involved a grieving family to make himself look good. Cheers!

When I hear Trump say something, I no longer bother with initially wondering if its true or even if he believes its true or not, since it's pretty apparent to me that those things aren't very important to him or his supporters.

It's also my experience that he only says things that he thinks benefit himself in some way. Sometimes, that's worth pondering, but in this case, it seems pretty obvious that he's trying to convince others (and possibly Trump himself) that he's not a total sociopath.

In that regard, let's just say, I'm not convinced, regardless of who he did or did not talk to.

@MistyCee The murderer was arrested on DUI charges in 2020, and then disappeared in 2020 when he failed to appear for a settlement conference. This was before Trump's Jan 6 insurrection, and while Trump was in office.

The gun he used to commit the crime, was purchased in the USA, and this was a domestic violent situation.

Ruby Garcia was killed by her boyfriend, using an illegal weapon. These are problems that plague the USA, not immigrants.

@Northwest So why did Trump say he talked with the family?

I'm sticking with he's trying to pass as a relatively normal human being, although, it wouldn't surprise me if he wiggles again a bit on gun control like he's done with abortion if it sounds good on the spur of the moment down the road.

I really do think that Trump has no great attachment to anything except Trump and everything is a transaction for him to gain or lose from.
