Why do Americans that believe CNN's (and the rest of mass media) lies think Trump is the new Hitler?

I mean, I didn't vote for the guy, but the unexplainable hate towards him is insane!

Update: the debates have been interesting to read. But there's an obvious polarization on the side of those that hate him. Like I said, I don't have a horse in this race, but the raw hatred just boggles my mind. Sure, he can be crude, but who of us isn't at times?

Trump isn't anything unto himself — he's just a grifter, and a stupid one at that — but his cult views him as the tip of the spear in their goal to turn America into a neo-feudal, authoritarian, corporate theocracy. He has become a symbol, and if he cannot be held accountable for his actions and crimes, then we are doomed as a functional democracy.
