Do Republicans really eat their young?

On Truth social Trump wrote -”The Republicans eat their young, they really do, and it’s a terrible statement but it’s true”. He also compared himself to a baby eaten by its own parents. Apparently it was some kind of metaphor because Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are preparing to host a summit for ‘non-indicted’ candidates competing for the party’s GOP nomination. Cheers!

No. They feed on the young of others. Like a wasp will paralyse a large bug and lay an egg in it, so the egg can hatch and consume the entire bug to establish itself with no effort of its own. If fact, that could be where the idea of the modern Republican came from...😷
